Chili’s Grill & Bar may be a chain founded by Larry Lavine. The chain has quite 1400 casual dining restaurants, mostly located within the US and Canada. Chili’s is owned and operated by Brinker International. Chili’s first location was at a converted postal station on Greenville Avenue in Dallas, Texas, opened in 1975 .

By the first 1980s, nearly 30 Chili’s locations were open throughout the US, and therefore the original restaurant is on Greenville Ave in Dallas. In 1983, Lavine sold the Chili’s Bar and Grill chain to a corporation called Brinker International, which also owns the Bennigan’s restaurant chain.
